Discover Your Creative Path: Exploring Our Studio Levels

Lottie Langley

At our studio, we believe that creativity is a journey—one that unfolds at your own pace, full of exploration, growth, and joy. We believe everyone deserves a place to explore, grow, and thrive.

To guide you along the way, we’ve designed a five-stage system tailored to meet you wherever you are in your creative journey. Whether you’re just starting out or ready to refine your skills, these stages offer structure, support, and inspiration to help you thrive.

Let’s explore what each stage has to offer.

Stage 1: Fledgling

Discover Your Creative Wings

This is where it all begins—whether you’re a complete beginner or have dabbled a little, the Fledgling stage welcomes you to explore your creativity in a supportive, judgment-free environment. It’s all about embracing the joy of creating, learning the basics, and building the confidence to try something new.

No prior experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and an open heart.

Stage 2: Root

Lay Strong Foundations

Once you have dipped your toes and explored the basics you may decide to venture further in and explore your creativity more fully. This stage is where you'll anchor your knowledge and begin to feel more comfortable with the tools, materials, and processes. You may have a little experience, perhaps you attended a Fledgling workshop or dabbled in time gone by. You don't need any experience for this stage though- we will be here to guide you every step of the way.

Stage 3: Sapling

Grow Confidence and Skills

At this stage you will begin to branch out, developing your core skills and learning to work with more independence. Sapling workshops are designed to boost your confidence as you tackle slightly more challenging projects, you will still have plenty of guidance and support. You will need some limited experience or familiarity with your foundational techniques, but your tutor will always meet you where you are on your journey and help you to grow from there.

Stage 4: Bloom

Refine and Flourish

The bloom stage really is where your creative journey begins to flourish. With a focus on refining your techniques and tackling more complex projects, you will start to see your skills come together beautifully. This is a time to stretch and challenge yourself, explore details, and dive deeper into your craft. At this stage, you will need to feel comfortable with small periods of independent working and be ready to face the challenge with new levels of complexity.

Stage 5: Elder

Perfect and Create Freely

Mastering a creative passion takes time, patience, and love- so Elder workshops are for those who are ready to take their crafting to the highest level. Honing advanced techniques and bringing their unique vision to life. Workshops at this stage are designed to inspire innovation and deep artistic growth. To join a workshop at this level you should have significant experience and confidence in the art form, as well as a desire to push your creative boundaries.

How Our Levels Work

We keep our sessions small to foster connection, creativity, and plenty of individual attention. All levels focus on collaboration, growth, and celebrating the joy of making, no matter what type of craft you’re exploring or at what level!
